Ingredients:

  • Using a sharp knife or kitchen shears, cut chicken into 1 inch cubes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk egg with water.
  • Pour egg over chicken and toss to coat all pieces with the egg.
  • In a separate, large bowl, mix flour and dried seasonings. Whisk to combine.
  • In a large skillet, add coconut oil and heat to low-medium.
  • 5-6 cubes at a time, coat the chicken in the flour mixture and then carefully add to pan
  • *TIP* Your pan is ready to use when you take the back of a wooden spoon, dip it in the oil, and small bubbles start to form around the spoon.
  • Let the chicken cook 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat for all the chicken. Place on a clean dish when chicken has cooked on both sides.
  • Add more coconut oil as needed.
  • While your chicken cooks, mix all sauce ingredients in a food processor until sauce is smooth.
  • Remove all the chicken and put on a plate off the side.
  • Add sauce into the chicken pan. BE CAREFUL! Your pan is hot and may splatter.
  • Whisk the sauce to remove small bits of flour from the bottom of the pan
  • Let the sauce simmer for 4-5 minutes. It will begin to thicken and darken in color.
  • Add chicken back to the pan and cook together 2-3 minutes, flipping once.
  • Plate chicken on top of veggies, rice, rice noodles, or eat as it!
  • And, don’t forget to ladle the sauce on top!
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
